Back to Baja: The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition Revives A Racing Icon

Ford is diving back into its Baja roots with the 2025 Bronco Stroppe Special Edition, paying homage to Bill Stroppe, the man behind the Baja Broncos of the 1960s and '70s. Like the Free Wheeling Package, this one is all about looks, but it comes with a very specific setup that’s impossible to miss. Taking over the Bronco Wildtrak slot for 2025, the Stroppe Special Edition is loaded with the Sasquatch package.

So, you're getting the high-clearance HOSS suspension, internal bypass dampers, and massive 35-inch tires wrapped around black 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. The stabilizer bar disconnect is also standard. Power comes from Ford's 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, packing 315 horsepower and a hefty 410 lb-ft of torque.

The kicker? It’s only available as a two-door model, all dressed in distinctive orange-and-white livery with a blue roof—a nod to the original Stroppe Broncos. What really sets this Bronco apart is its unique styling. Special branding inside and out, custom side steps with integrated rock rails, and a rear gate finished in matte black give it a rugged edge.

The hood also gets the matte black treatment, while the eye-catching orange is actually Ford’s "Code Orange," making its first appearance outside the Bronco Raptor lineup. “We’ve been teasing the return of a Stroppe Special Edition with our competition Broncos since we brought the Bronco R back to the Baja 1000 in 2020,” said Ford’s North American Design Director, Gordon Platto.

“The mix of Code Orange, Oxford White, Atlas Blue, and matte black was intentional, pulling from our race cars and connecting to the rich history of the Bronco.” Ford has not yet confirmed the price, but given that the Wildtrak already starts at $62,815, we expect it to surpass $63,000. Expect this retro-inspired beast to hit showrooms in January 2025.
