Avatr, the Chinese electric automaker, is making waves in the automotive world with the unveiling of its 12th model, a futuristic electric saloon. This marks yet another step forward in Avatr's mission to revolutionize the electric vehicle (EV) market. Here are the key highlights:

Right-Hand-Drive (RHD) Production for Thailand Market: Avatr is set to produce both its 11th and 12th models in right-hand-drive configuration, targeting the Thailand market. This strategic move is slated to commence in 2024, as stated by Avatr's chief, Li Panghang. The company views the Thailand market as a significant opportunity for its electric vehicles.

Distinctive Exterior: The Avatr 12, unveiled at the 2023 Munich Motor Show, continues the contemporary exterior stylings that Avatr has become known for. Designed under the guidance of Avatr's design boss, Nadar Faghihzadeh (formerly of BMW), this electric saloon boasts LED headlights, striking day lights at both the front and rear, and an illuminated Avatr emblem.

Impressive Dimensions: The Avatr 12 is not just stylish but substantial in size. It measures 5020 mm in length, 2000 mm in width, and 1465 mm in height. This places it 81 mm shorter in length than the Nio ET7 but 12 mm wider and 50 mm taller.

Avatr

Sophisticated Interior: Inside the Avatr 12, you'll find what Avatr calls a "cocooned sensory cockpit." Key interior elements include an octagonal steering wheel, a "floating" dashboard featuring an integrated digital display, and a generous 16.0-inch central infotainment display. The spacious interior can comfortably accommodate up to five adults and offers ample luggage storage both in the front and rear.

Powerful Electric Drivetrain: Under the hood, Huawei-produced electric motors are paired with a CATL-supplied 95 kWh lithium-ion battery featuring a cell-to-pack design. This powertrain promises the Avatr 12 an impressive range between 403 and 435 miles on a single charge.

Avatr

Performance: While specific performance figures for the Avatr 12 are yet to be unveiled, its predecessor, the Avatr 11, boasts a rapid 0-62 mph acceleration in just 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 124 mph.

Production: The Avatr 12 will be assembled alongside the Avatr 11 at a Changan factory in Chongqing, China.

Avatr

With its blend of cutting-edge technology, distinctive design, and a commitment to expanding its global reach, Avatr is poised to make a significant impact in the world of electric vehicles, particularly with its move into the Thailand market through RHD production.
