The RS version of the TT will no longer be available in the United States after the 2022 model year. The model's retirement in the United States will be commemorated with a limited-edition "Heritage Edition." After the 2022 model year, Audi TT RS will be accessible in areas outside of the United States, while buyers in the United States will be able to purchase the less powerful TT and TTS versions.

The Heritage Edition is produced in 5 colors, each with just 10 units available, for a total of only 50 vehicles. The colors and design of the 2022 Audi TT RS Herigate Edition are based on the Ur-Quattro. A delicate "Quattro" writing is also engraved onto the rear quarter window, along with the five-cylinder engine's firing sequence.

A special paint job isn't the only thing that makes these cars unique. They also come with an exclusive portfolio of upholstery options, including color combinations that haven't been available to U.S. customers before. Other changes to the inside of the car include Alcantara on the steering wheel and shifter and RS icon floor mats.

On the Heritage Edition, there are even more treats, like distinctive 20-inch Audi Sport "5-arm-cutter design wheels." The Heritage Edition attempts to balance things out by eliminating the RS's traditionally eye-catching rear wing and replacing it with an electronic spoiler. OLED taillights and a sports exhaust with black tips are among the other external features.

The only modification under the hood is a higher top speed limit, which has been increased from 155 mph (249 km/h) to 174 mph (280 km/h). The 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, which produces 394 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque and is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, is still available.

The Heritage Edition of the Audi TT RS costs $81,495, which is $8,295 more than the standard TT RS, which begins at $73,200 plus a $1,045 destination fee. The special edition and typical TT RS will go on sale in the first half of 2022.
