Audi Made Its First Step Towards An Electric Future With The Q4 E-Tron Twins

This Wednesday was a great day for Audi to unveil its new electric 2022 Q4 E-Tron and Q4 E-Tron Sportback crossovers. Scheduled to reach the US dealers at the end of this year, this new lineup addition, the range price is $45,000 because you can't pay less for an actual Audi electric vehicle. Hopefully, you could pay $7,500 less after applying the federal tax incentive.

For the two twin models, despite the Sportback addition to the name, Audi had the idea to focus their customers' attention towards models with less trunk space, more roof that slants down in the back. The Q40 E-Tron electric vehicles will be powered by the fourth and fifth batteries for the US market.

The electric vehicle presumed range would be 250 miles on a single charge for a single-motor Q4 40 E-Tron It's not much compared to Tesla's latest 326-mile range, but Audi's technical features should compensate for the differences. Tesla, whose "Long Range" Model Y crossover has an EPA-estimated range of 326 miles. Audi could expand the Q40 lineup with E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback versions with an extra motor powering the front wheels.

More thorough range figures for the dual-motor Q4 models will feature all-wheel-drive systems only when extra power or traction is needed. The interior brings an audio typical stylish and modern with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster as standard, and an optional screen 11.6-inch display. Audi offers driver-assist and navigation information with an augmented-reality display, and the Sonos sound system is available.

After planning to go 30% full-electric or hybrid for their global lineups duo of lower-cost EVs by 2025. The automaker wants to conquer the US market by the end of 2021, and these Q40 twins are the first step.
