Audi has received the necessary budget for the development of 11 new models.

The investment plan of the brand from Ingolstadt has not yet been published, but the Volkswagen Group has announced that it will invest over 20 billion Euros in its businesses by 2018.

Fundamentally, the VAG Group will invest four billion Euros per year for the development of the new models, a significant increase compared to the established budget in December 2011 in the next year, which foreknows the investments of 2.6 billion euros per year. The Audi 2018 plan is to become the largest premium manufacturer in the world and to sell more than two million cars per year by that time.

According to those from Auto Motor und Sport, the Germans from Audi will launch 11 new models by 2018, along with a number of facelifts, to compete on an equal with BMW, the current leader of the standings premium side sales. The information was confirmed by Rupert Stadler, the Audi's CEO. The Germans announced a delivery of more than 1.5 million units in the current year, a first premiere in the history of the brand and a realization of two years ahead of schedule.
