Audi Decided To Focus On Bigger Batteries For Audi Q5 And A7 PHEV

Electric Vehicles were a true blessing for environments, drivers, and pedestrians. Now that the plug-in hybrids have their earned spot on the market, another issue occurred. Battery improvement is more of an obligation that must last longer to give customers a better range and longer trips across two-point. Audi is aiming to correct the issue and announced upgrades for their Q5 and A7 PHEVs.

According to Bill Gates, the automobile industry isn’t moving along with the other industries' progress, we would drive now “$25,00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon.” The upgrade will be available for the non-U.S, models, but in U.S.-market 2022 Audi models will have the same upgrades. 

The Q5 and A7 PHEVs can have 17.9 kWh battery packs won’t take more space compared to the previous 14.1 kWh units. The slight difference is about showing that in the last two years there have been improvements that positively increase the EV range for both Audis PHEVs. 

Without EPA rates, there’s no specific number, but Audi states that both models would get more than 24 and 19 miles, previous range rates. An interesting fact is that The A6 PHEV that Audi isn’t sold on the U.S. market increase by 20 miles of range on the New European Driving Cycle. So patience is needed to expect the EPA results.
