Aston Martin's DBX707: Luxury SUV Reimagined

Aston Martin streamlined their portfolio to only the DBX707 performance flagship SUV and gave it an interior makeover. In addition, the chassis software calibration has fine-tuned the Aston Martin DBX707's driving characteristics.

Some new exterior colors (Epsilon Black, Helios Yellow, Sprint Green, Malachite Green, Aura Green, and Podium Green) are available for the 2025 model year. Other changes include power-outward door handles, mirrors with incorporated cameras, and upgraded finishes for the available 23-inch forged alloy wheels (22-inch wheels are standard).

Customers will discover a whole new infotainment system, similar to the ones in the DB12 and Vantage sports cars, along with cutting-edge connection options including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as several USB-C ports. Mercedes replaced the previous system with a bigger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch Pure Black touchscreen. With its revised dashboard and center console, the DBX707 now fits in better with the rest of Aston Martin's portfolio.

In an effort to keep drivers from being confused, the manufacturer has included tactile controls for gear selection, driving modes, climatic functions, suspension, electronic stability control, exhaust, and advanced driver assistance systems. More customization possibilities and new materials, including gloss smoked oak, gloss titanium mesh, ziricote wood, piano black, and carbon fiber veneers, have been added to every area of the interior, according to Aston Martin.

Now standard on all Aston Martins is an audio system with 14 speakers and 800 watts of power; however, a 23-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 1,600 watts of power is available as an extra option. Sales data was a factor in Aston Martin's decision to provide only one powerplant choice for the DBX. According to Autocar, the DBX707 was the most popular DBX model in 2023 and has continued to dominate in 2024, rendering the other models on the list obsolete.

Staying put under the hood is a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo that has been around for a while, and it makes 697 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque. An automated nine-speed gearbox and an all-wheel drive system, weighted toward the back, transmit the power to the wheels. The DBX707 is one of the quickest production SUVs, reaching a peak speed of 193 mph.

Everything about the chassis is the same, down to the standard carbon ceramic brakes and adjustable air suspension. Engineers at Aston Martin fine-tuned the body's control by recalibrating the electronic dampers and air springs. The upgraded Aston Martin DBX707 will enter production and ship in the second quarter of 2024. We will reveal the pricing shortly after the market's debut.
