Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro Comes With Way More Downforce

A picture of Aston Martin Valkyrie has just been leaked and soon after, we get even better news: the official premiere of Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro.

The Valkyrie AMR Pro concept was revealed for the first time back in 2018, at the Geneva Motor Show. The carmaker has enhanced and upgraded the concept to something much better than what we’ve seen years ago.

Going beyond a standard Valkyrie, AMR Pro comes with a modified carbon fiber chassis, increasing the wheelbase by 380 mm (14.9 inches). The front track gets wider as well by 96 mm (3.7 inches), followed by the rear track – which is now 115 mm (4.5 inches) wider. The aerodynamics kit adds another 266 mm (10.4 inches) to the overall length.

This kit includes front wheel arches and fins that have been seriously revised, a carbon fiber front splitter, a huge shark fin, wheel covers, and a fixed rear wing. All this helps Valkyrie AMR Pro come with double the downforce produced by the regular Valkyrie.

But the hypercar’s power doesn’t stop at aerodynamics. The AMR Pro runs on a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 Cosworth engine, revving 11.000 rpm and wild power of 1.000 hp. This V12 may come as a surprise in an era when most carmakers go for hybrid/electric powertrains. Yet, the V12 combined with the aerodynamics, helps Valkyrie AMR Pro cover the LeMans circuit in 3 minutes 20 seconds, almost as fast as the LMP1 cars.

The entire Aston Martin Valkyrie project was an engineering adventure, expressing the carmaker’s expertise and passion. According to Tobias Moers, Aston Martin CEO, this is a no-rules car, meant to prove Aston Martin’s commitment to pure performances. Moreover, this project will soon join Aston Martin’s portfolio.

If you’re interested in acquiring an Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, you’ll get a custom track day experience, on various circuits of the world. This includes participating in as many Aston Martin-hosted track days as they wish, exclusive FIA racewear, professional training, and VIP-hosted dinner.

Valkyrie AMR Pro will be produced in only 40 units, with 2 of them being prototypes. First deliveries are scheduled for Q4 2021.
