Arnold Schwarzenegger's Custom Mercedes-Benz Unimog Up For Auction

Arnold Schwarzenegger, renowned for his muscular physique and iconic roles in 1980s action movies, is parting ways with one of his formidable vehicles—a custom Mercedes-Benz Unimog—now up for grabs through Barrett-Jackson.

This 1977 Unimog U1300 SE pickup underwent a comprehensive restoration and upgrade in 2012 by German specialist Merex.

The truck boasts an enhanced interior with leather-trimmed seats, a rear-view camera system, and a Blaupunkt stereo. Schwarzenegger's autograph on the dashboard adds a personalized touch. The exterior exudes opulence with a substantial front brush bar featuring attached spotlights, additional lamps in the bumper, and a winch for tackling challenging terrains.

The cargo bed comes equipped with a roll bar, rear-facing lighting, and a bench with seatbelts for extra passengers. Under the hood, a robust turbodiesel 6.4-liter inline-six engine generates a reported 320 horsepower. The truck features a five-speed manual transmission, four-wheel drive, 22-inch wheels, chunky 445/65 tires for ample traction, and air suspension.

Schwarzenegger briefly owned this custom Unimog and was spotted driving it around Santa Monica, California, in 2012. However, the vehicle was available for sale by 2014 and reappeared on the market in 2016. Barrett-Jackson will auction Schwarzenegger's former Unimog with no reserve at its Scottsdale, Arizona, event from January 20 through 28. The sale includes a folder with pictures, documentation, and certifications for the truck, offering enthusiasts a chance to own a piece of Schwarzenegger's automotive history.
