Ariel Nomad Tactical For Sale: Pure Off-Road Chaos In A Street-Legal Package
by AutoExpert | 8 April, 2025
The Ariel Nomad Tactical is one of those machines that exists purely to make you smile. It's not practical, it’s not subtle, and it’s definitely not built with your daily commute in mind. But if you're after raw, ridiculous fun on any terrain you can throw at it, there’s really nothing quite like it. Now, one of these unicorns is up for grabs.
This 2017 example was put together by TMI AutoTech in Virginia and comes with a clean Oregon title. So yes, it’s street legal. You could technically roll it up to your favorite coffee shop, but it’s much happier bouncing over rocks or launching off sand dunes.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter Honda K24 engine. There is a supercharged version out there, but this one keeps it simple. Thanks to a custom exhaust, this Ariel Nomad Tactical still sounds properly aggressive and delivers its power through a six-speed manual gearbox with a limited-slip diff out back.

Don’t expect creature comforts. There are no rear body panels, and the roof is more of a fabric suggestion than anything protective. It does at least have a windshield, so you don’t need to gear up with goggles and a helmet every time you want to take it out. Inside, you’ll find lightweight fiberglass bucket seats, proper racing harnesses, and a Momo steering wheel that completes the no-nonsense vibe.

The Ariel Nomad Tactical rides on chunky 15-inch wheels with BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM2 tires and sits on adjustable Ohlins coilovers that let you fine-tune the ride for whatever kind of chaos you’re into. Despite being owned since new, it’s only racked up 508 miles.

The Ariel Nomad Tactical isn’t trying to be normal. It’s not trying to be practical. It’s just here to make you laugh every time you climb behind the wheel—and that’s exactly what makes it so special.
