Everyone is eager to get his hand on Volkswagen ID 3, and after the automaker launched its 217-mile range, the demand will go off the grid. With an entry-level City trim and 45kWh under the hood, the price can go up as possible. The Volkswagen ID 3 is for sale starting at £28,370, and keep in mind that the government applied a plug-in vehicle-discount of £2500.

Equipped with a Volkswagen Pure Performance powertrain, the ID 3 feature battery tested a 217-mile range. A 7.2 kW home charging unit gives you need only 7.5 hours full-charged battery. For a 5% to 80% top-up, you need only 31 minutes with a propper 100kW CCS device. This gorgeous electric hatchback features an electric motor delivering 150 horsepower and 310 Newton-meters, giving a 0-62mph sprint in just 8.9 seconds and a top speed limited at 99mph (159 km/h).

How does the City trim works on an EV? A City trim brings practical features necessary for City travels. The one developed especially for Volkswagen has quite a kit, including a 10.0in infotainment screen with voice control and wireless app connectivity. The safety systems include lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, and pedestrian protection.

Adaptive cruise control comes as a standard with the front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, LED headlights, and taillights.  It includes electric door mirrors, heated front seats, and steering wheel, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and two USB-C ports in the rear. You also get the 10-color ambient lighting along. The Style model is available with the Pure Performance appearance, design-focused elements as basic, including the 18 alloy wheels, LED matrix headlights, tinted windows, 30-colour ambient lighting, variable boot floor, keyless entry, and two-zone climate control. Do you want more?

The Style model costs £32,470 for its 215-mile range. According to Volkswagen UK product manager Joe Laurence “The City and Style are an important milestone in the ID 3’s life cycle, as they usher in the Pure Performance powertrain. Offering the best of both worlds with value and performance built-in, these two important new trim levels further significantly broaden the ID 3 appeal."
