Another Ferrari Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage Teaser

Neils van Roji Design teased us with new angles for its Ferrari Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage project. Bringing back the old good days of a 1970s Ferrari isn't just about a modern reinterpretation. It takes skills and time, along with plenty of planning.  The revealed pictures show-off the front, side, and rear of the Ferrari envisioned by van Roji.

Surprisingly, the side profile of the Ferrari Daytona shows a long-slung, pointed nose, while the front shows narrowed headlights with yellow-tinted coverings, and the piece spans the width of the front end. The fascia reveals a trapezoidal opening with a roundish shape with three centered chrome stripes. The slight bulge on the hood wants to put an accent on the outward near the windshield. 

The side view shows the extended roof, while the Coke-bottle beltline matches perfectly with a retro-styled exterior completed by the massive glass tail. Behind the front fenders has a vent and at the lower edge, you can spot an inlet. the rendering also consists of taillights that hopefully will look better in reality than in the ones in the photo.

The original Ferrari Daytona Shooting Brake shown in the pictures below is another commissioned creation of Bob Gittleman, using a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 as a starting point. The fabulous feature was the rear panels which could open separately with a customer wood center stack.

At the same time, the beautiful Ferrari Daytona Brake Hommage presented by Niels van Roji Design might take a couple of years to get out on the road. So, more pictures and updates should entertain and update our interest in different stages of the build.
