Acura Unveils Pricing for its First EV, the ZDX: A Bold Entry into Electrification

Did you guys feel last night's earthquake? It was just Acura dropping off the complete price tag for its first EV ZDX, with the entry-level A-Spec rear-wheel drive (RWD) starting at $64,500.

The ZDX A-Spec model is available with all-wheel-drive (AWD) and two-motor options, with the price starting at 68.500 USD. As for the signature equipment, ZDX Type S wears a 73.500 USD price tag; however, for an additional 1.000 USD, it will offer customers a performance wheel and tire package.

Acura

The Cadillac Lyrig, which uses a similar GM Ultium EV architecture as the ZDX, boasts a more affordable Tech trim priced at $58,590. Other pocket-friendly alternatives, such as Tesla Model Y and Genesis GV60 start at 43.990 USD and, respectively, 52.000 USD.

Acura

Despite this, Acura has not applied any government incentives or tax credits yet. From a specialist's point of view, the Acura ZDX has the power to produce around 340 horsepower in its A-Spec RWD form. The AWD version should add up a bunch of horses, but the automaker hasn't yet named the exact figure. However, we can expect it won't spoil the 500-hp powertrain accessible in the sportier ZDX Type S.

Acura

The ZDX A-Spec RWD can charge up to 81 miles of range in under 10 minutes if using a DC fast charger with the vehicle's 102-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The EV can access a variety of public fast-charging networks, including Tesla Supercharger stations.

Acura

Acura provides three charging trims and in addition, charging credits with EVgo and its partner roaming networks ranging from 100 USD to 750 USD. The 100 USD package comes with a 500 USD installation credit and a level 2 home charging station, while the 300 USD trim intakes a $250 installation credit and a level 1/level 2 portable charging kit.

Acura

The standard EV houses an embodied Google software, complemented by a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capacity. It is also the debut model that houses Bang & Olufsen luxury audio, replacing the brand's signature ELS Studio audio system.

Acura

Acura’s ZDX Type S offers a sportier driving experience with features like blazing performance-oriented adaptive dampers, a set of 22-inch machine-finished wheels, 15.6-inch Brembo front brakes with six-piston yellow calipers, and height-adjustable air suspension.

Acura

Acura’s ZDX appearance on the market proves the company's dedication toward a better future with zero emissions, but it also mirrors the brand's passion for the electrified era performance. As ZDX and ZDX Type S step into the game, Acura can’t wait to start delivering the vehicles to their new homes.

Acura

Acura scheduled the ZDX deliveries for spring 2024. The potential clients can purchase the vehicle exclusively online due to the company's digitalization.
