The Italian automaker Abarth has presented another upgrade for the venerable ICE-powered 595 and 695. In comparison to previous years, the vehicles now have two power outputs to choose from and a range of four personalization kits.

The Abarth models will continue to be powered by the 1.4-liter T-jet four-cylinder motor with a Garrett turbocharger. The Euro 6D Final emission-compliant mill generates 163 hp (121 kW/165 PS) in the 595 and 177 hp (132 kW/180 PS) in the 695, with the less powerful models being phased out for 2022.

A five-speed manual gearbox or an optional five-speed automatic gearbox with paddles sends power to the front axle. The 595 takes 7.3 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph), whereas the more capable 695 takes 6.7 seconds.

Previously, Abarth concentrated on offering a wide selection of trims, but this time it changed them into kits to allow for more flexibility. A potential buyer can choose between the 595 and the 695 and then add the Turismo (595 or 695) or Competizione (695) and F595 (595) kits, depending on their preferences.

There are also seven other alternatives, including the 695 Racing Style Pack's special "Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile" flexible rear spoiler.

Abarth

The Abarth 595, for example, comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, a twin chrome exhaust, satin chrome details, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, a charcoal dashboard, stainless-steel pedals, black fabric seating, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. It even has Koni rear suspension and 284 mm front and 240 mm rear vented discs as standard equipment.

The 17-inch wheels and quad tailpipes of the Record Monza exhaust system differentiate the Abarth 695. Sabelt seats with matte grey shells, Alcantara upholstery, an aluminum gear knob, and a hint of carbon fiber on the steering wheel can all be found on the inside. Aside from the increased power, it has Koni FSD absorbers on both axles and enlarged ventilated front discs measuring 305 mm with four-piston Brembo calipers.

The 595 Turismo comes with lighter Granturismo 17-inch alloy wheels, satin chrome mirror caps, distinctive logos, and black or brown leather upholstery, whereas the 695 Turismo comes with an Alcantara-upholstered dash and a sunroof.

Abarth

The performance-oriented F595 package includes the electronically-controlled Record Monza Sovrapposto exhaust system with vertically stacked tailpipes, 17-inch wheels, a matte-black dash, and F595 emblems, just like the Abarth F595 trim from the year before.

The flagship 695 Competizione features the same Record Monza Sovrapposto exhaust, Sabelt seats with red stitching, and a mechanical limited-slip differential in manual gearbox variants. The new 595 and 695 models from Abarth have yet to be given a price tag.
