A New Era For The Jetta: Volkswagen Reveals 2025 Updates

Volkswagen has recently updated the look of the Jetta and Jetta GLI for 2025. A more rounded and refined appearance characterizes the Jetta as a whole. The brand-new front end has slim LED headlights and a narrow grille.

You can now get this model in Monument Gray and Monterey Blue Pearl, and it comes with 17- or 18-inch wheels, a sportier and more expressive bumper, and a redesigned color scheme. In the back, you'll find a brand new trunk that features a sleek light bar.

An updated infotainment system with an 8-inch screen and a new standalone design are among the interior updates. Included in the list of updates is a brand new Climatronic Touch system with two separate zones. Because it now comes with features that were previously only available on the SEL, the SE is the better-equipped of the two trim levels. Wireless App-Connect, voice control, a wireless smartphone charger, and SiriusXM satellite radio are some of the important features.

Two-tone perforated leatherette seats are now standard on the SE. A new Molekular cloth is available for the sport models, and a brown/titan black combination is available for the SEL's perforated Vienna leather. The GLI also comes with new perforated Vienna leather seats in Grey, Red Crust, or Titan Black with red contrast stitching.

An updated heated steering wheel is another feature of the performance-oriented model. The IQ.DRIVE suite of safety features, designed to assist drivers, is standard on every Jetta. Front Assist, Travel Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go are all included. Lane Assist, Emergency Assist, Rear Traffic Alert, and an Active Blind Spot Monitor are additional features that complement each other. A 1.5-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged engine yields 158 horsepower from under the hood.

The base Jetta now mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission, replacing the six-speed manual transmission. Jetta GLI models maintain their 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque from their turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Buyers still have the option of a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

There is a $560 price increase for the 2025 Jetta S, with the base model starting at $21,995. Volkswagen noted that the automatic version, previously priced at $22,235, is actually more affordable for most customers. Until the facelifted Jetta makes its arrival at the end of the third quarter, we don't know how much the other trim levels will cost.
