A Love-Hate Relationship Towards the Camaro: What’s Your Position?

Despite the 700 horsepower from supercharged V8 engines, the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible American sports car still has some dislikable features.

Love vs. hate is a real debate amongst muscle car fans. Let’s see what’s the problem with the current sixth-generation Camaro. First of all, this is considered more a sports car than a true muscle car. In fact, would argue that it reminded us of a certain legendary BMW.

The New Color Option and the Interior Technology

For the Camaro's updates for the 2021 model year, Chevy has added Wild Cherry Tintcoat's new color option. Available as part of a larger Wild Cherry Design Package or individually for $495, this shade of red adds a classy style to the Camaro.

The $1,950 RS Package combines 20-inch five-spoke wheels, LED taillights, and black Chevy bowtie badges. Imagine all that in Wild Cherry color. Marvelous.

The Camaro's interior technology game is a blast. The 2021 Camaro models include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also, Chevy's MyLink infotainment is intuitive to use, though some would say that the touchscreen is tilted inelegantly down. The 3LT trim has a wireless charger, located in the back seat but still not large enough for most modern phones.

The Interior Design and Free Space

Despite considered a world-class interior, this Camaro still has a compromised cabin. The fully-optioned 3LT trim test vehicle doesn’t shadow the disappointing cabin materials. The leather used on the steering wheel and seats, feel premium, but the dashboard and trim feel the direct opposite.

It’s well known that sports cars aren't a practical must-be, and today’s car cabin should have far more place for other things than your smartphone instead of a small armrest cubby and tiny bins in the doors.
