A Ford Mustang Shelby Has Been Put Up For Auction

A Ford Mustang Shelby, produced by Hertz, Ford, and Shelby companies, has been auctioned off. It's a convertible that has ended up in the hands of dozens or even hundreds of speed and adrenaline enthusiasts. 

Such cars were built in just 500 fixed-roof units and still 500, only convertible. The model up for auction is a convertible that was used as a rental car for all those who want thrills behind the wheel. Once retired, the Ford was kept exclusively in the garage. 

The auction article doesn't specify the car's dashboard info, but it does mention that it has a 4.6-liter V8 powertrain that develops 25-hp more than regular models released at the time. The engine is mated to a manual transmission, which is very rare. 

The new owner will get all the necessary documentation, as well as a certificate of origin issued by Shelby Automotive. The auction will be held in Dallas, Texas.
