2027 Honda Vezel Gets Blacked-Out Styling And New 18-Inch Wheels

Honda isn’t giving the Vezel a full redesign for 2027, but it has found a few ways to make its compact SUV more appealing. The Japanese-market model, sold as the HR-V in several other countries, gets darker styling, extra comfort features, and a new accessory package aimed at buyers who prefer a sportier look.
The main attraction is the new Black Sport Style package. It brings a black grille, dark chrome details on the bumpers, black mirror covers, and a matching rear spoiler. New 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels complete the look. Honda has also darkened the inner headlight housings across the range, while the e Z and Play Package swap black wheel arch and bumper cladding for body-colored trim.

There are practical upgrades inside, too. Rear air vents and USB-C charging ports are now standard on the entry-level G and hybrid e X. The X also gains heated front seats, while buyers choosing the Play Package can add a panoramic roof, a multi-view camera system, and a 10-speaker audio setup. The dashboard remains unchanged, with a 7-inch digital instrument display and a 9-inch infotainment screen.

Engine options carry over: a 1.5-liter gasoline unit and Honda’s 1.5-liter self-charging hybrid. The gasoline G is offered with all-wheel drive and a CVT, while the hybrid comes with either front- or all-wheel drive. A sportier RS version is also expected to join the updated lineup later.

In Japan, prices for the 2027 Honda Vezel start at ¥2,777,500 (around $17,700) and rise to ¥3,885,200 (about $24,700) for the all-wheel-drive e Z Play Package. The changes are modest, but they give the Vezel a little more personality and make the cheaper versions better equipped. Whether the same updates will reach the HR-V in other markets remains unclear.
