The Hummer EV Just Brought Back the H2’s Most Famous Color
by AutoExpert | 18 July, 2026
The GMC Hummer EV is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Hummer H2 with a new limited-edition model called the Icon | 25. Rather than reinventing the electric truck and SUV, GMC has taken inspiration from one of the H2's most recognizable features to create a nostalgic tribute.
That starts with the bright yellow exterior, a nod to the signature color offered on the original Hummer H2. Black wheels, cladding, mirrors, roof, skid plates, and recovery points complete the look.

Inside, the changes are more restrained, with a Jet Black cabin, exclusive infotainment graphics, and a numbered dashboard plaque identifying each of the 250 examples. GMC also says every buyer will receive a special keepsake, although it's keeping the details under wraps for now.

The Icon | 25 package will be available on both the 2X and 3X versions of the Hummer EV Pickup and SUV. Pricing hasn't been announced, but the standard 2026 Hummer EV range starts at $97,825 before the $2,695 destination fee.

The anniversary model isn't the only news. For 2027, every Hummer EV gains a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, giving owners direct access to Tesla's Supercharger network without affecting the truck's vehicle-to-home bidirectional charging capability. GMC is also introducing four new paint colors -Azurite Blue, Dark Ember, Dark Ridge, and Deep Void Matte - plus two fresh 22-inch wheel designs.

Under the body, nothing changes. The 2027 Hummer EV continues with the same electric powertrains, producing up to 1,160 hp and delivering a 0–60 mph time of just 2.8 seconds. Production is scheduled to begin later this year.
