2026 Lancia Delta Will Make A Triumphant Return

Earlier this year, we heard Stellantis was considering saving the Lancia nameplate. Two of the company's most recognizable models are the Stratos and the 037. Although third-party tuners and designers have teamed up to revive these cool titles, Lancia has officially announced the return of its most iconic model, the Delta. We can't wait to see the reborn 2026 Lancia Delta.

Lancia's new CEO Luca Napolitano was recently interviewed by the Italian publication Corriere della Sera.
Napolitano claims in the interview that when it does make a reappearance, it will be a true Delta: a thrilling automobile and a symbol of progress and technological advancement. 2026 Lancia Delta will, of course, be powered by electricity.

Corriere della Sera claims that the platform will be able to provide a range of up to 435 miles on a single charge. Lancia plans to sell only all-electric vehicles by 2026 when this project is expected to be completed. As a result, the Ypsilon, Lancia's obscure Italian model, will be phased out in favor of a hybrid vehicle by 2024.

Napolitano says electrification works better for the brand, even if it is frustrating that the revived 2026 Lancia Delta will not be a turbocharged, all-wheel-drive competitor to the Volkswagen Golf R. A new dealership network will be launched in Europe from start to end with the cooperation of the current Alfa Romeo and DS dealers to help the brand accomplish its objectives, according to reports.

Whether or not the new 2026 Lancia Delta will be sold in the United States has yet to be determined, but if the brand is successful in resurrecting itself in Europe, other markets will undoubtedly follow.
