A new midsize pickup, the 2025 Ram 1200, is entering Stellantis' Mexican market. But please, you can't confuse this relative newbie with the Ram Rampage. The Ram 1200 takes styling cues from its Fiat and Peugeot relatives but adds a distinctive grille and a big Ram symbol to the tailgate to make it stand out.

Both the two-door Regular Cab and the four-door Crew Cab are available, and both have a range of bed lengths to meet varied demands. The 16-inch steel wheels and unpainted plastic bumper characterize the base Tradesman trim.

More LED illumination (maybe fog lights or daytime running lights), 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome-accented grilles, and body-color cladding are available on higher models like Laramie and Bighorn. You'll find an analog instrument cluster for that vintage vibe on the inside, as well as a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that rules the roost.

Airbags, parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera are all standard safety equipment. Lane departure warning, trailer stability control, and hill climb assist are all driver aid features. One 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rules the show under the hood. It can produce 207 horsepower and 226 lb-ft of torque. The engine is compatible with both manual and automated six-speed transmissions.

Although the Tradesman and Bighorn trims opt for rear-wheel drive, the top-of-the-line Laramie has a genuine 4WD system that can handle more challenging terrains. Stellantis states that the Ram 1200 can tow up to 6,614 pounds. The payload capacity is likewise within the class average, ranging from 1,535 to 2,668 pounds for the particular model.

China will import the 2025 Ram 1200, according to the local publication Noticias Autocosmos. The basic Tradesman Regular Cab 4×2 manual begins at $444,900 pesos, which is around $25,100 at the current currency rate, and goes all the way up to the top-of-the-line Laramie 4×4 automatic, which costs $668,900 pesos, or US$37,800.
