2024 Trendiest Car Colors: From Psychedelic Guacamole to Electric Citrus

Every year, the fancy paint people at BASF try to predict the hottest new car colors, and the 2024 picks are definitely...interesting. Gone are the boring grays and reds – think more psychedelic guacamole and electric citrus.

North America: Meet "Zenomenon"

Our star color is this shimmery blue-green thing. Okay, it's kind of cool, but the name? Sounds like something a sci-fi villain would drive. BASF says it's all about "soothing hues" and eco-friendly vibes, but I'm not entirely convinced.

Asia Gets... Glow-in-the-Dark Green?

If you thought "Zenomenon" was out there, check out this neon green called "Electronic Citrus". Supposedly it's about tech and growth, but to me, it just looks like someone left a science experiment on a car.

Europe's Vibe: Orangey-Beige

Their main color is called "Predictor" and it's this weird mix of orange and beige. BASF says it's about humanity in a world of AI, but it kinda reminds me of that old 70s kitchen.

Will Car Companies Actually Use These?

Honestly, it's a toss-up. Some brands play it safe, but thankfully you've got BMW, Porsche, and Jeep out there bringing some actual COLOR to the roads. Let's hope this inspires others to get creative, because after years of endless white, gray, and black, I'm ready for something fun!
