The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross has embraced a series of subtle yet impactful enhancements aimed at ramping up efficiency and adding a tad more gusto to its persona.

The revamp commences with the Corolla Cross bidding adieu to the 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine, welcoming a more compact 1.8-liter engine in its stead. The hybrid system too has seen a few tweaks, honing the power and fuel efficiency, although the exact consumption figures remain under wraps for now.

For those who prefer to steer clear of the hybrid variant, the Corolla Cross offers an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) version, now powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, replacing the earlier 1.8-liter engine.

Beyond the powertrain reformation, Toyota has fortified the SUV's Safety Sense system, integrating a pre-crash safety function for oncoming vehicles and pedestrians along with an enhanced proactive driving assist feature. The driving experience is further enriched with a 12.3-inch TFT digital instrument cluster and a refined 10.5-inch infotainment display. To top it off, the 2024 Corolla Cross debuts with eight fresh color options and Wi-Fi connectivity, adding a splash of vibrancy and a dash of connectivity to the mix.

In the USA, the allure for the Corolla Cross lineup has seen a surge, courtesy of the intriguing Edition Nightshade. This fresh edition, rooted in the existing SE model, boasts 18-inch wheels with a glossy black finish, black and red trim adorning the interior, and black-accented headlights and taillights, rendering a sleek and modern appeal. The Nightshade can be owned in Celestite Gray paired with a Jet Black Roof, or go bold with Jet Black or Barcelona Red accented with a Jet Black roof.

The price tags for the Corolla Cross range between 15,574 USD and 23,084 USD, offering a spectrum of choices to meet varied budgetary needs.

Although the availability of the 2024 enhanced Corolla Cross in markets outside the USA remains undisclosed, the array of upgrades and the addition of the Nightshade Edition undoubtedly mark a promising evolution for the Toyota Corolla Cross, amalgamating efficiency, safety, and aesthetic appeal in a compelling package.
