Subaru has unveiled its 2024 BRZ lineup in Japan, bringing several exciting updates to the popular sports car. The standout addition is the STI Sport trim, focusing on enhanced driving dynamics with an STI-tuned suspension and Brembo brakes, similar to the North American 2024 Subaru BRZ tS.

The 2024 BRZ STI Sport gets some stylish touches, including discreet cherry red STI emblems, crystal black silica accents, and sporty 18-inch metallic aluminum wheels paired with performance tires.

Inside, you'll find STI logos, upscale ultra suede/genuine leather upholstery in a striking black/Bordeaux color combination, and subtl metallic accents. If you're after a more aggressive look, there are optional STI Sport parts available, such as a carbon fiber rear spoiler and a more pronounced splitter.

In terms of performance, the JDM-spec BRZ STI Sport benefits from chassis upgrades, including a Brembo braking system with 17-inch ventilated discs and gold-finished brake calipers, as well as a sharper STI-tuned suspension featuring Hitachi Astemo SFRD front dampers and revised rear dampers.

All 2024 Subaru BRZ models enjoy a refined Vehicle Dynamics Control system, and what's especially noteworthy is that manual BRZ models now come standard with the Subaru Eyesight Advanced Driver Assistance System suite, which was previously exclusive to automatic gearbox models.

Under the hood, the 2.4-liter naturally aspirated boxer engine remains unchanged, delivering a spirited 232 hp and 184.4 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2024 Subaru BRZ is set to make its debut at the Fuji Speedway on September 24, and it's already available for orders in Japan, with prices starting from ¥3,300,000 ($22,258). The basic Cup trim with steel wheels is not listed on the Subaru website for the 2024 model year, leaving customers to choose from the R, S, and STI Sport grades. The STI Sport, being the top-tier choice, comes in at ¥3,762,000 ($25,370) for the manual and goes up to ¥3,817,000 ($25,745) for the automatic version.
