The redesigned 2023 BMW 3-Series Touring has been unveiled by the German automaker shortly after the facelifted sedan variant was shown for the U.S. market. The updated 3-Series Sedan will be available in a variety of diesel and gasoline variants in Europe (the 318i, 320i, 320i xDrive, 330i, 318d, 320d, 320d xDrive, 330i xDrive, M340i xDrive, 320e, 330e, 330e xDrive, 330d, 330d xDrive, and M340d xDrive).

The same drivetrains will be available in the new 3-Series Touring. Although there is no 320i xDrive Touring, the 320e xDrive variant is available.

A 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with 156 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque powers 318i versions. The 320i versions have 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque, while the 330i has 245 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The M340i xDrive's 3.0-liter turbo six has 374 horsepower and 369 lb-ft.

Both the electric 320e and 330e are powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-four generating 163 horsepower and 221 lb-ft in the 320e and 184 horsepower and 221 lb-ft in the 330e. The 318d and 320d feature a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel four with 150 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque and 190 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.

The more potent 330d is available with a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel six engine that produces 286 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. M340d, with 340 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, is the most powerful diesel model.

The European 2023 BMW 3-Series Touring has undergone the same design tweaks as those that will be offered in other countries. The carmaker has reworked the headlamps and kidney grille, creating an appealing front. The taillights have been redesigned and a new bumper added to the rear of the vehicle. The interior of the redesigned 3-Series Sedan and Touring has received just minor updates, including a new display.
