The third-generation Toyota Tundra was unveiled in September, and it features a more refined suspension, two strong V6 engines, and a new design. The new Tundra offers a wide range of abilities, even if it isn't the most powerful truck in its class.

Toyota has officially released two important details about the new Tundra: gas mileage figures and pricing. The initial price has risen, as predicted. At this time, Toyota has only revealed prices for cars equipped with the i-Force V6 engine.

The 4x2 SR Double Cab with the 6.5-ft bed on the 2022 Toyota Tundra now starts at $35,950. That's $1,500 more than the base 2021 version. The exact version with 4x4 will set you back $38,950. The standard 4x2 trim with the bigger 8.1-ft bed would set you back $36,280.

The new 2022 Toyota Tundra starts at $40,755 for the SR5, $46,850 for the Limited, $56,990 for the Platinum, and $57,690 for the 1794 Edition. Those prices are for the trims in their most basic form, before you upgrade to 4x4, a larger bed capacity, or a unique body type.

Because the Platinum and 1794 Edition trims are only available in the CrewMax body style, they are more costly than the others. The 1794 Edition CrewMax with 4x4 and the 6.5-ft bed is the most expensive Tundra, costing $61,020. These costs do not include a $1,695 destination fee.

Toyota also published EPA-estimated gas mileage numbers for the new Tundra, however only for the i-Force motor, which is less muscular. This engine is a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. For SR trims, though, it's been resembled to produce 348 hp and 405 lb-ft.

Personalization is important because these vehicles must do a variety of tasks. Toyota has released pricing information for the Tundra's different packages and extras.

The TRD Off-Road package, which includes monotube Bilstein shocks and front FOX shocks with a 1.1-inch front increase, is expected to be appreciated. Depending on the model, it might cost anywhere from $2,115 to $3,085. There are a number of trim-specific TRD Sport kits available, including larger wheels and a unique grille.

2022 Toyota Tundra

The Advanced Off-Road Technology package (SR5 only) costs between $2,620 and $3,600, the Premium Audio kit costs $1,145, air suspension costs $650 (SR5 and Limited), a panoramic roof is $1,350 (Limited only). Our estimates show that even with the standard engine, a new 2022 Toyota Tundra may easily cost more than $65,000. The first Tundras will be delivered to dealers next month.
