2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness Plays The Role Of The Rugged Off-Roader On The Market

After the scheduled launch of the 2021 Subaru Outback on the European market, get ready to meet the most Rugged and off-roaded Subaru Outback nicknamed Wilderness for its extra body cladding.

The model fits Subaru's definition of 'new wild' with its new bumpers front and rear, different front grille, front skid plate. model-specific LED fog lights, extended wheel arch trims, and the most striking matte black anti-glare hood decal. Also, the Outback Wilderness features a utilitarian ladder-type fixed roof rack system, a static load limit of 700lbs, and an enabling using roof tent accessories. 

Backed up by a 0.8-inch suspension lift and a set of exclusive 17-inch matte black alloy wheels shod in Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires. Both, front and rear dampers and strings are longer for ground clearance and suspension travel. The approach angles for the ground clearance shows off-road stats are 20 degrees, the breakover angle is 21.2 degrees, and 23.6 degrees for the departure angle.

The 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness is powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged flat-four engine for the standard model delivering 260 horsepower and 375 Newton-meters of torque coupled to a Lineatronic CVT and an AWD with Active Torque Vectoring and an available  'X-Mode' upgrade. 

The exterior for the debut model is featuring a Greyser Bule color featuring trimmed seats in Subaru StarRex water-repellant material with the 'Wilderness' logo embroidered on the headrests and a copper contrasting stretching throughout the cabin matching the copper details on the steering wheel, shifter, and instrument cluster. 

Many other official optional accessories will be offered for the 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness will be added for the customers. The prices haven't been announced yet, but the automaker promises them closer to the official launch in the second half of the year.
