2022 Renault Arkana Enters Australia With 1.3-Liter Four-Cylinder Engine

Renault Arkana, which was first introduced as a Russian-only model a few years ago, is now arriving in more countries across the world, most notably in Australia, where it will sit atop the Captur.

Arkana will be available in three trim levels for Australians. The Zen is the first, followed by the Intens and the R.S. Line, which is the most expensive. The Zen begins at AU$33,990 (US$24,545), rises to AU$37,490 (US$27,072) for the Intens, and reaches AU$40,990 (US$29,599) for the R.S. Line.

Renault Easy Drive, which incorporates Active Emergency Braking with Pedestrian & Cyclist Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Safe Distance Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Cruise Control with Speed Limiter, comes standard on the entry-level Arkana. Front, back, and side parking sensors, LED headlights, a 7-inch infotainment display, 4.2-inch gauge display, heated leather steering wheel, and 17-inch alloys are also included.

2022 Arkana Intens adds rear cross-traffic alert, over-speed prevention, an electric parking brake with auto-hold, a 9.3-inch infotainment screen, a 7-inch digital driver display, satellite navigation, multi-sense with three driving modes and eight ambient lighting alternatives, leather and suede interior, heated and ventilated front chairs, and 18-inch two-tone wheels to the list of standard features.

Lastly, the Arkana R.S. Line includes a sunroof, heated and perforated leather steering wheel, frameless auto-dimming mirror, wireless phone charger, red sewing, faux carbon-fiber decors, back confidentiality glass, 18-inch two-tone wheels with a red intonation, gloss lack outer trim, and front and back skid plates.

All versions are driven by a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 154-hp (115 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 193 lb-ft (262 Nm) of torque at 2,250 rpm. This motor is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and the crossover features three driving modes that may be customized.
