Porsche Cayenne Coupe range gets a new addition - 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, the top trim level available for the one and only Cayenne Coupe.

The news comes right before the official premiere of Cayenne Turbo GT on July 8-11, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. According to the carmaker, this is the fastest SUV on offer and the fastest production Cayenne ever.

2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT has already proven its fastest-SUV nomination, as it managed to register a record of 7:38.9 around the Ring, driven by Lars Kern. Thi9s is 4 seconds faster than the former record-holder – Audi RS Q8.

Fastest doesn’t mean strongest. 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT still runs on Turbo Coupe’s four-liter twin-turbo V8. The power has been increased to 640 hp, with 850 Nm of torque. Porsche is offering its strongest eight-cylinder, with a revised turbo, induction, crankshaft, and intercooler. The titanium exhaust system has also gotten lighter.

An automatic 8-speed Tiptronic transmission delivers the power to all four wheels, ensuring s top speed of 297 km/h. The chassis has also been revised, being now 17 mm lower. Each of the chassis’ elements has been tuned up to perfectly fit the 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT.

The brakes have been revised, now including increased stopping power, reduced sprung mass, and fade resistance. Special rubber Pirelli tires are riding the car, with an air suspension 15% firmer. Porsche has also installed the Active Suspension Management (PASM), Power Steering Plus, rear-axle steering, and Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC).

Instead of the long-expected facelift, Porsche comes with exterior upgrades, like larger cooling vents and spoiler on the front and a new optional color – Arctic Grey. The roof is made from carbon fiber, with side plates and a fitted lip for the larger spoiler. Porsche says this helps increase the downforce at speed by 40 kg.

As for the interior, it comes with sports seats, Alcantara upholstery, perforated panels, and, most importantly, an upgraded infotainment system. This specific system debuted on Cayenne Turbo GT, coming with Android Auto alongside Apple CarPlay.

You may already order your very own 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT and expect the first deliveries in the UK in autumn 2021 and by 2022 in the USA. Prices revolve around USD 182.150 / GBP 143.910.
