Mercedes-Maybach shows off its range-topping S680 4MATIC which are designed to be an exclusive vehicle to the house in the handcrafted twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine offering 621 horsepower and up to 1,001 Newton-meter of torque coupled to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel-drive system.

The S680 4MATIC is aimed at competing proudly against the Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Ghost by ranking performance numbers down to a 4.4 seconds sprint for a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) and there’s more – it can even hit an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h).

The rear-biased engine’s torque goes to the rear wheels in a stunning 69% amount which is skyrocketing for an AWD vehicle.  Other included features are rear-axle steering for better maneuverability, minor styling changes, and a range-topper sports V12 badging with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 offering 496 horsepower and Newton-meters of torque as well as EQ Boost technology.

Following the typical Maybach style, you’d get a unique grille and a modified front bumper, flush-mounted door handles power rear doors, and an assortment of two-tone paint schemes. What a Maybach might be without an exclusive interior and this one won’t disappoint you featuring beautiful Nappa leather covers virtually everything including the headliner, dashboard, window frames, and pillars? For a striking visual effect, we get a wood trim, diamond quilting, and contrast piping and for more Maybach-specific pedals and the exclusive Maybach scent.

Mercedes confirmed so far, that the vehicle will embrace the Burmester 4D surround sound system and an MBUX rear-seat entertainment system accessible for maneuvering from two 11.6-inch displays and a tablet. 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch infotainment system, and front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions are expected to make the interior even more luxurious. Along comes the four-zone climate control system, front / rear wireless smartphone chargers, active multi-contour rear seats, and a 64-color ambient lighting system. As always Maybach would offer optional silver-plated champagne flutes and a refrigerated compartment for storing.

The S680 4MATIC is scheduled to arrive at U.S. dealerships until June of 2022 and will be offered for a starting price of $184,900 plus a $1,050 destination and delivery fee. German customers could achieve the S680 for a little bit more than $200,000 (€164,565).
