2022 Mazda MX-5 Announced With Better Cornering Suspension

Even though it seems the same as the current Mazda MX-5 Miata, the 2022 model claims to be an even better result thanks to a range of new features. The incorporation of the carmaker's Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) tech is the most significant enhancement made to the renowned Japanese sports vehicle.

This system can detect turning situations in real-time by comparing the speeds of the left and right rear wheels, and then raises its activity proportionally in response, increasing stability. When the brakes are used, the Kinematic Posture Control provides an anti-lift force that pushes the car's body down.

When turning under high G-force circumstances, it additionally imparts a little braking force to the inner rear wheel. Mazda states that the technology provides a more coordinated and solid turning stance at high speeds. Mazda MX-5 Miata's North American specs are yet to be revealed.

The entry-level 1.5-liter motor will be deleted from the range in Australia, keeping just the 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder motor as an option. It's also been revealed that the redesigned Mazda MX-5 Miata will come in a new color called Platinum Quartz Metallic. There's also a new Terracotta Nappa leather cabin kit.
