2022 Hyundai Elantra N Has 276-HP And A 0-62MPH In 5.3 Seconds

2022 Hyundai Elantra N, also known as the i30 N Sedan in some markets, including Australia, was just unveiled, and it retains many of the same elements as the i30 N hot hatch, as we anticipated. The new Elantra N is now confirmed to be available with a six-speed manual transmission, which was not mentioned in the earlier press releases.

The automobile is powered by Hyundai's renowned 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which now sports a 5 mm bigger turbine wheel and produces 276 hp (206 kW) and torque of 289 lb-ft (392 Nm). The front wheels are driven by either an eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox.

When the N Grin Shift mode is used, the engine's boost pressure is enhanced, increasing power to 285 hp and accelerating the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.3 seconds.

An electronic limited-slip differential, named the "N Corner Carving Different" by Hyundai, contributes to putting power to the ground. The car also has a launch control system and the same N Grin Shift, N Power Shift, and N Track Sense Shift modes as other Hyundai N models with DCT transmissions. Elantra N also has a WRC-inspired integrated drive axle, which combines the drive shaft, wheel hub, and bearing, decreasing weight by 1.7 kg and increasing lateral grip.

To reinforce the body, Hyundai used four-point strut rings and rear stiff bars. Electronically adjusted suspension and a dual compound trailing arm bush help the car perform better by optimizing the ride and handling while reducing noise, vibration, and harshness.

Hyundai's unique high-friction material pads with 14.1-inch (360 mm) discs provide braking. These pads have already been shown to be extremely robust. To boost cooling capacity, the South Korean automaker has built a cooling hold in the front fascia as well as a brake air guide mechanism.

With Elantra N, a slew of new features make their appearance. The N Sound Equalizer, for example, sends sounds into the cabin that can be used to simulate TCR race car sounds. The variable exhaust system has also been upgraded to decrease the booming sound while idle but keeping the same cracks and pops as prior N models. An adjuster allows drivers to change the sound for whine, throat, and bass.

The car also has an improved infotainment system that displays important data such as oil and coolant temperatures, as well as torque and turbo pressures.

There's also a separate lap timer, and a Hyundai N app will be available in some regions that displays significant driver information on the driver's phone. Buyers can also choose between bucket seats that sit 10 mm lower or new chairs with stronger bolsters.

The style of 2022 Hyundai Elantra N is more sharp and fierce than that of the ordinary Elantra. A custom bumper and bigger air intakes, as well as a new splitter, can be found on the front end. Unique side skirts, a rear diffuser, a fixed rear wing, an F1-inspired tail light, and special wheels have also been added to the car.
