Hyundai U.S.A has detailed its version of the Elantra N, which is almost identical to the global model. The Korean version was unveiled in July, but Hyundai has given it a full complement of performance upgrades.

A turbocharged motor of 2.0 liters (279 PS/205 kW) and 289 lb-ft (391 Nm) torque are the power supplies of Hyundai's brand-new 2022 Elantra N. By temporarily utilizing overboost, "N Grin Shift" gives you up to 286-hp (289 PS/213 kW).

Hyundai's new engine has a powerband optimized for driving dynamics. Power peaks between 5,500-6,000 RPM, rather than a power peak that starts to fall off as soon you hit it. Hyundai says it can do 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in around 5.0 seconds.

NPS and N Track Sense Shifting (NTS) technology are supplied for the new Hyundai Elantra N. The objective of NPS is to increase the speed of upshifts by increasing engine torque. When your car believes you could drive on the track, NTS improves shift speed.

An electronically limited-slip differential and the electronically controlled suspension were delivered to the Nissan Elantra N. A rear wing enhances aerodynamics while reinforcing the front subframe. An H-shaped rear stiff bar increases stiffness by 29% to improve handling.

The car has bigger brake disks and high friction brake pads, which are 14.2 inches (360 mm) high. A two-composite front suspension insulator helps to improve movement and handling. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires wrapped around 19-inch alloy wheels round out the whole car.

What is next can be a little harder for enthusiasts, though, as the N Sound Equalizer "enhances the dynamic sound of driving" through its speakers. The system may sound like a high-performance touring automobile. However, not everything is manufactured sound. The automobile can control fuel flow to a single cylinder and opens the exhaust valve completely during reversal to create an enjoyable bang.

2022 Elantra N is a "furthest reflection of our current objective," said Hyundai Motor Company. The car is fitted with N-branded steering wheels, shifters, and pedals that give the driver a feeling of being in a particular car. It has also an innovative infotainment system with a graphic interface "N-exclusive." The driving wheel gets a huge red NGS button, which acts as a boost button, on cars with the 8-speed DCT gearbox.

Elantra N is anticipated to be on display in Hyundai at the end of the year. Prices are going to be disclosed closer to that date.
