Chevrolet stated that the 6.2-liter V8 engine would be offered in more Tahoe and Suburban model levels in 2022. Among the new features of the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe And Suburban are an electronic limited-slip differential, a larger digital instrument cluster, Google Assistant integration, and more.

The 6.2-liter V8 produces 420 hp (425 PS/313 kW) and is included on the High Country level. The motor increases horsepower to the Tahoe and Suburban with dual exhausts and fuel management systems. Magnetic Ride Control is basic on the Premier and High Country trims and optional on the RST level with the 6.2-liter motor.

This engine will be basic on the LS, LT, Z71, RST, and Premier variants. Except for the Z71, all will have GM's 3.0-liter turbo diesel motor. All motors are paired to a 10-speed automatic with an electronic shift. An extra electronic limited-slip differential keeps the Z71 trim trucking (eLSD). New for 2022, the system prioritizes torque to wheels with grip for better traction. Chevrolet claims the tech will aid the Tahoe and Suburban off-road, too.

The 2022 Tahoe and Suburban will also get a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. It will come standard on LT and higher trims and will enable the driver to highlight display information in four different ways. This year's SUVs have up to 13 camera views, along with a transparent trailer view, a rear trailer view, a side view that lets you peek inside your trailer when an accessory camera is attached, and much more.

Instead of reaching down, drivers can utilize voice recognition to control audio volume, radio channel, and location. Despite this, the vehicles will retain Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality. All 2020 Tahoe and Suburban trims now include front and rear park assist, lane keep assist, and lane-departure warnings. Buckle to Drive, which stops drivers from changing into gear without their seatbelts, will also be standard.

On the outside, Evergreen Gray Metallic, Auburn Metallic, and Dark Ash Metallic are new colors for 2022 Chevrolet. The 2022 model will be produced starting in October.
