Citroen launched the 2021 e-Berlingo E-MPV or, shortly – 2021 e-Berlingo, which is a perfectly suitable car for 7 passengers and a range mile up to 176 miles (280 km). The naming ‘e’ stands for electric car signature, and the car’s specs are really promising. The MPV is scheduled to arrive on the European market in the second half of 2021.

As an electric MPV, the 50 kWh lithium-ion battery, charges totally in 7.5 hours at a 7 kW Wallbox with the standard 7.4 kW single-phase on-board charger, with an optional 11kW three-phase charger, and just 5 hours of charging at 22kW. You can reach, at least 80% charge in 30 minutes at 100kW. The 2021 e-Berlingo’s battery powers the electric motor up to 134 hp and 260 Nm and you can reach a 135km/h top speed. The WLTP range of 280 km.

The car will be available on the market in Medium with 5 seats and 775 liters luggage space, and XL variant with 7 seats and 1,050-liter luggage space. The XL model’s luggage space can be enlarged up to 2,126 liters and haul items up to 3.05m long, simply by folding the rear seats.

There is also the Drive, Neutral Park and Reverse e-Toggle switch, with direct access to the regenerative braking functions and, of course, three driving modes – Eco 60kW, Normal 80kW, and Power 100kW. The 8-inch touchscreen display allows the ‘Energy’ section in the menu, smartphone integration with a 10-inch digital instrument available.

Also, there’s a reversing camera, hill start and descent assist, active safety brake, lane departure warning, the famous blind-spot monitoring, and a traffic sign recognition. Despite the plentitude of driving assisting features, alerts, and the MPV’s safety, the attention on the driving process is the driver’s number one priority.
