1LE Chevrolet Package Is No Longer An Option For 2022 Camaro Models

Chevrolet Camaro LT models released starting 2022 will no longer have the 1LE Performance Package. From now on, only SS and ZL1 models powered by V8-powered. General Motors Authority was the first one to confirm independently that the package will no longer be available for small-engined cars.

This is an official Chevrolet retirement for the Turbo 1LE and V6 1LE from the Camaro line. So far, the 2021 models producing more in-demand with the LT1. According to Chevrolet spokesperson, the LT1s "has risen to be nearly a quarter of Camaro sales since hitting showrooms in the model year 2020.

The Camaro SS 1LE and ZL1 1LE track stars will continue with nationwide availability into the model year 2022." Turbo 1LE model matched the high-performance parts to the four-cylinder Camaro, delivering up to 275 horsepower and 400 Newton-meter of torque coupled to an exclusive six-speed manual transmission.

Along with the performance package, comes a larger diameter from and rear stabilizer bars, customer dampers, Brembo brakes, stiffer cradle bushings at the rear, a suede flat-bottom steering wheel, and Recaro seats, amongst other important features.  

The 1LE Package delivers 335 horsepower during the Virginia International Raceway in 2016, being represented by a Camaro V6 1LE. The LT1 offers a naturally-aspirated V8 engine producing 455 horsepower and 616 Newton-meters of torque.
