1963 Chevrolet Impala Wagon Was Converted Into A Sleek Two-Door Backed By 600 HP

Goodguys car show has awarded a 1963 Chevrolet Impala Wagon their Snap-on Custom of the Year for 2021. The Ranweiler family's automotive firm in Minnesota, Show Cars Automotive, created this special Impala Wagon.

The Ridler Award was given to it at the Detroit Autorama, and it also won the SEMA Battle of the Builders contest. Surprisingly, it took 9 years to customize this Impala Wagon. The car's transformation from a four-door to a two-door is one of the most noticeable alterations, substantially modifying the car's entire look.

Furthermore, the top has been cut, enhancing the vehicle's slim and low appearance. The windshield is taller than on a standard Impala Wagon, and the B- and C-pillars are fully custom. The Chevy's front fascia was also altered by Show Cars Automotive for a more concise aspect.

To achieve a smooth look, the fenders, header panel, core support, and inner fenders are all attached to the cowl. The new Chevrolet Impala Wagon also includes a hood that opens backward, a custom grille, and special bumpers. The interior has been extensively renovated as well.

For instance, there's a Vintage Air climate control system, M&M Hot Rod Interiors' custom-dyed Italian leather, 1959 Cadillac Eldorado seats, and machined-in-house pedals, grips, attachments, and aesthetic elements. A 509 cubic-inch V8 with a Hilborn injection system produces 600 hp and powers this custom Chevy. This motor drives a Ford 9-inch rear end through a 4L60E gearbox.
