This spring, Pininfarina Battista is set to go into production, and to that end, Automobili Pininfarina has announced the opening of two new U.S. showrooms. The Newport Beach Automotive Group in Newport Beach, California, and Lake Forest Sportscars in Lake Bluff, Illinois, are the newest members of the group.

Known as Automobili Pininfarina Newport Beach and Automobili Pininfarina Chicago, correspondingly, the dealerships will open shortly. This raises the number of North American retailers to nine, which is remarkable since the firm regards the United States and Canada as some of its key markets.

Whilst Automobili Pininfarina has a significant presence in North America, Europeans will benefit from a wider distribution network of ten dealers. Six new dealerships will open in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific countries. Clients will benefit from "dedicated brand representatives at each site providing exceptional personal service and attention to detail for the Italian marque's discerning clientele," according to Automobili Pininfarina.

Customers will be able to test drive one of the most capable hypercars ever produced later this year. Pininfarina Battista will be powered by a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery pack from Rimac, which will drive four electric engines with a mixed output of 1,874 hp (1,397 kW / 1,900 PS) and 1,741 lb-ft (2,360 Nm) of torque.

Pininfarina Battista can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in less than 2 seconds and from 0 to 186 mph (0 to 300 km/h) in less than 12 seconds. The model can reach a peak speed of 217 mph (350 km/h). Sadly, the automobile has a range of only 311 miles (500 km) on a single charge.
