The Lightweight 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S Is Almost As Fast As A Hypercar

When starting from a complete stop, the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S Lightweight can reach 1,320 feet in under 9.9 seconds. Meanwhile, 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) is a half-second faster than Koenigsegg Regera RS, Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, and Pagani Zonda R, making it even more impressive.

Car and Driver claims with the extra $10,340 Lightweight package for the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S, it is the quickest car they've ever driven from 0-30 mph (0-48 km/h). It accomplished this in just 0.8 seconds.

Weight loss of around 80 lbs (36 kg) compared to the basic Turbo S was achieved by the use of lighter glass, rear-seat deletions, carbon fiber seating surfaces, and reduced sound insulation. Porsche's Active Suspension Management lowers the ride height by 0.4 inches. All of this technology is combined into a magnificent package that is both dominated and savage.

The all-wheel-drive model's twin-turbo 3.7-liter flat-six engine produces 640 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque and is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The 911 Turbo S Lightweight had a lateral cornering ability of up to 1.12g, according to C&D.

The 911 Turbo S Lightweight, on the other hand, demonstrates that regardless of how rapidly electric vehicles have progressed, internal combustion engines are not dead.
