Yamaha Buggy Will Be On Display At The Japan Mobility Show

The 2023 Japan Mobility Show is set to commence on October 25th. Yamaha, a prominent participant in this event, is gearing up to exhibit an array of offerings, including motorcycles, scooters, e-bikes, and intriguing concepts with more than just two wheels.

One notable highlight is the YXZ1000R, a conversion running on hydrogen while retaining its internal combustion engine. Functioning as a recreational off-highway vehicle, this transformation aims to preserve the distinctive qualities of an internal combustion engine, like its unique sound and the sensation of being on the move, all while achieving zero emissions.

Another intriguing addition is the Tricera, a three-wheeler autocycle equipped with an electric drivetrain and an open-top configuration. Its standout feature lies in rear-wheel steering, which enhances maneuverability on bustling city streets. Though specific details remain limited, this concept appears to offer a more practical and potentially cost-effective alternative compared to the likes of the Polaris Slingshot.

They are also introducing the TMW, their first Leaning Multi-Wheeler with off-road capabilities. Sporting a hybrid powertrain with electric hub motors powering the front wheels and a combustion engine at the rear, this creation is engineered to tackle challenging terrain. With generous suspension travel and the ability to maintain balance over rough terrain or while leaning, the TMW showcases Yamaha's commitment to innovative mobility solutions.
