Watch How The World's Rarest Ferrari Is Cleaned And Detailed

Larry Kosilla, the creator of Ammo NYC, is a car-detailing enthusiast who creates YouTube videos to illustrate the peculiarities of detailing. The one-of-a-kind Glickenhaus Ferrari P4/5 gets some TLC in Kosilla's shop in this video. 

Why is this project nice? Because Glickenhaus drives his one-off automobile. The automobile arrives with insect splatters, road dirt, scratches, and swirls in the paint, so a basic wash with soap, foam soap, and water is first. The paint is then washed again, this time using brushes to get into the tight spots. The interior of the automobile is next, with much of it being done with foam rather than water. For the engine, the same cleaning. 

Kosilla and his two companions then proceed to the interior. Lather, steam, microfiber towels, and a towel with steam for the synthetic suede are all used in the inside procedure. To refresh your memory, the P4/5 was commissioned by prominent automobile collector Jim Glickenhaus in 2006 and produced by Pininfarina. The bespoke exterior was inspired by 1960s Ferrari 330 P4 race cars, but underneath is a Ferrari Enzo chassis, motor, and other equipment.

A Competitizione track version of the Glickenhaus P4/5 was developed later. It lapped the Nürburgring Nordschliefe in 6:51 during a qualifying session for the Nürburgring 24-hour race in 2012. It was based on a then-current Ferrari F430 GT2 racing car. He then bought Pininfarina's 1970 Ferrari 512S Modulo concept car and had it converted into a functional vehicle.
