If you've seen the previous two Fast & Furious movies, you're probably wondering how Paul Walker's character, Brian O'Conner, wound up in Miami with a Nissan Skyline GT-R. We last see him on the street after the huge, climactic drag race at the end of the first film. However, he appears on the other side of the country at the start of 2Fast 2Furious, driving one of the nicest customized cars ever.
Although neither of the films explain the changeover, the studio did make a short movie featuring Paul Walker that does. The Turbo Charged Prelude to 2 Fast 2 Furious depicts O'Conner leaving town and traveling east, street racing a Mitsubishi 3000GT to make sufficient money to buy a GT-R from a used car lot. He fixes it and drives it across the country, pitting it against a Ferrari 360 Spider.
Craig Lieberman, the first few Fast & Furious films' senior producer, says in his latest video that this clip was initially only accessible with a special-edition DVD of the first movie, which was published just three days before 2Fast 2 Furious hit theatres.
