The 2JZ-powered Jaguar E-Type Is Another Work Of Art

Eneos Motor Oil tapped the talents of drift racer Faruk Kugay to birth an automotive marvel: the Jaguar E-Type 2JZ. Kugay didn't just meet the challenge; he unleashed a vehicular beast. What makes this project fascinating is its deep respect for Jaguar's heritage, drawing inspiration from the iconic Lightweight racer dating back to 1963.

It pays homage to that era with custom-designed 17-inch Rotiform wheels and rear fender flares, but it also adds a modern touch with carbon fiber wheel wells.

Under the hood lies the Toyota Supra-sourced 2JZ-GTE inline-six engine, churning out a formidable 750 hp thanks to a Borg Warner EFR 8474 turbocharger, a Vibrant Performance intercooler, and a Link G4 Fury ECU. This not only pays homage to the car's original 4.2-liter straight-six but also propels it into the world of extreme power.

To control this monster, a ZF five-speed manual transmission from an E36 BMW M3 was chosen, with extra BMW components incorporated. The rear subframe, suspension, and differential hail from an E60 5-Series, while the front brakes are borrowed from a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. The result is a seamless marriage of raw power and high-performance engineering.

This captivating creation is just one of three "Frankenstein builds" commissioned by Eneos for SEMA 2023. The Jaguar E-Type 2JZ will share the spotlight with a twin-engine Nissan 350Z and a 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup at the SEMA show taking place from October 31 to November 3, promising an enthralling display of automotive innovation.
