Russian Men Demonstrate How To Use Batteries To Start An Internal Combustion Vehicle

Several Russian car enthusiasts wanted to know how many batteries are required to start a car with an internal combustion engine, in this instance, a VAZ 2101. Garage 54 recycled a dead battery for this purpose.
In the first step of the experiment, a regular battery was disassembled, cleaned thoroughly, and then washed. Next, eight 1.5V batteries were added one at a time, for a total of 12V. Each time batteries were used, they were tested by hooking up the device to an electric motor.
After initially fitting only 40 batteries into the housing, the new so-called battery pack was installed beneath the car's bonnet. The engine could not be started with such capacity. Therefore, the number of batteries was gradually increased. When the vehicle had 308 batteries inside, the engine finally fired up! As the engine started repeatedly, it was clear that the experiment had been successful.
