2021 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring has now an official rating given by the federal government Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of up to 28 miles. After its official reveals in 2019, the concept was delayed until this year, due to the similarity with the Kuga PHEV concept.

The result is one to be proud of since it exceeds the automaker's expectations even for its 14.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. This gives high hopes of a fuel economy contribution for the customers. According to tests, the fuel economy ratings could reach 778 MPGe or 33 mpg on the gas engine. Meanwhile, the combustion power delivered by the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine might give an output of 266 horsepower for the electric motor outstanding the Corsair Gran Touring's performances.

According to the previous released technical specifications, the Corsair Grand Touring features stepped-up trims, leather upholstery, a set of driver-assistance features, allowance to use the smartphone as a car's key, and fabulous 20-inch wheels. The Corsair has a Preserve EV mode while you don't use the batteries and that magic of self-charging while driving gives you a charge up to 75%. On a charged battery, you can easily drive relying solely on the electric motors in Pure EV mode.

Based on a Ford Escape PHEV's drivetrain, the Gran Touring is mainly focused on delivering more range. EPA estimations extend towards a 37 miles range on the electric-only range and 100MPGe or 41 mpg on gas mode. The full charge on a wall socket can be achieved between 10 and 11 hours but could reach 2,204V fill in just  3-4 hours.

With such good results, get ready to get your hands on a PHEV Corsair and the announced price for the car might reach $54,595 including the destination. The affordable price is a positive motivational development towards the movement of encouraging people to consider more serious about going electric for their daily drive adventures.
