F1-Powered Mercedes-AMG Project One Rocks The Nurburgring Tests

The Mercedes-AMG Project One is an F1-Powered project scheduled to start its deliveries this year. So, it was about time to see a camouflaged version testing at the Nürburgring. So officially or spied, a lightly camouflaged version was spotted showing off its performances on the race track.

The video shows rather a wild beast that outcomes everyone’s expectations from the Project One concept. All it takes is a skilled driver, crazy enough to try it on the circuit’s most difficult corners at its most impressive speeds. According to the results, this exceptional Mercedes has all the right to claim a try for the car lap record around the infamous German racetrack.

As mentioned, not everything went to plan during testing as shortly after a second prototype appeared at the track, its engine momentarily shut down, forcing the engineer driving the hypercar to restart it before going on their way.

Making the Formula 1-derived powertrain road-ready is a difficult task even for a high-class brand such as Mercedes. The short history already showed a prototype that was terminated after several tests. So, don’t you think is that easy as the delays are well motivated.

Planned to be powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine, there were still changes made to the engine. One of which is a reduced redline to 11,000 rpm to allow the car to become a street-legal vehicle. Imagine bursting the streets with 1,000 horsepower under its hood. Watch the video to make sure that you might be able to drive this little beast possibly by the end of this year.
