Czinger 21C V Max - The 650 HP Beast Makes Its Public Appearance At Goodwood

The high-performance Czinger 21C V Max, initially teased through a series of detailed illustrations nearly a year ago, made its full public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The 21C V Max, a variant of the record-smashing 21C, is tailored for top speed rather than superior downforce or mind-boggling G-forces. The debut model's standout feature is its vibrant "Golden State of Mind" orange paint job.

The car's complete rework goes beyond merely stripping away some of the standard 21C’s aerodynamic components. Almost all bodywork has been reimagined, beginning with a front end that features a more subdued front splitter, devoid of the aerodynamic canards characteristic of the standard model.

Czinger's focus on speed also brings significant alterations to the vehicle’s sides. New carbon fiber rocker panels and skirts enhance the car’s streamlined profile. The air intakes and wheels have also been redesigned, and like the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and the McLaren Speedtail, the car body has been extended. Furthermore, the rear wing found on the track-oriented 21C has been removed, all in pursuit of ultimate speed.

Last year, the Californian automaker claimed the 2.88-liter twin-turbocharged V8 hybrid powertrain of the 21C, generating 1,250 hp, could accelerate the car to 60 mph (96 km/h) in under 1.9 seconds. It can reportedly complete a quarter-mile in 8.1 seconds and accomplish a 0-250-0 mph (0-402-0 km/h) run in approximately 27 seconds. If these figures hold up, it would topple the recent record of 28.81 seconds set by the Koenigsegg Regera.
