China’s 2021 Ford Evos Sure Is Ready For Chinese Market

The 2021 Evos is a project joint venture between Ford and Changan presented this year’s Shanghai Auto Show. Despite looks similar to other Ford models, this one is the best-rumored replacement for both the North America Fusion and the European Mondeo model. The previous version of the Evos moniker unveiled in 2011 didn't make it to the production line, so get ready. We might see it on the Chinese streets at least.

The next 2022 Ford Fusion and Mondeo feature almost the same scoops, with slight similarities in the roof- and shoulder lines, flush-mounted door handles, and wheels. Since there are no confirmations about a European Mondeo so far, everyone is eager to find more about the Chinese version for the 2022 Evos scoop.

The 2021 Evos is designed as a coupe SUV, featuring a full-size Equator, seven-seaters, and an interior 43-inch (1.1-meter) giant dashboard that incorporates the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 27-inch 4K infotainment system. The surprise is the latest SYNC+ 2.0 system developed by Ford relied on a UI design and Baidu’s AI technology.

Also, the Ford EVOS has the all-new Fully Networked Vehicle E/E architecture, to support the dynamic, over-the-air software updates while with the first Virtual Personal Assistant. The Level 2 semi-autonomous driving technology supports hands-free operations on a prequalified section of divided highways.

Being built by  Changan Ford the 2021 Evos already have the best ticket to hit the Chinese market via the Ford NDSD distribution network. At the Shanghai Auto Show this year, Ford also brought its other models. You can take a closer look at the automaker's Escape PHEV, local Mustang Mach-e, Equator, Explorer, Edge Plus, Territory S, F-150 LTD, and Mustang at the Chinese auto show.
