Beyond Limits: Can The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Surpass 311 MPH?

While in ninth gear, the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut reached speeds of over 311 mph, according to recent chassis dyno testing. It seems like there's potential for even greater speed that's just waiting to be discovered! Christian von Koenigsegg revealed the information on a Top Gear podcast.

The lack of a top-speed run with a real automobile begs the question: why? The first is locating a suitable set of tires, and the second is finding a lengthy, empty stretch of road where the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut may run free. Happily, Christian von Koenigsegg expressed his desire that it would happen soon.

As a reminder, in March of 2020, Koenigsegg unveiled the Jesko Absolute, claiming it to be the quickest vehicle the Swedish manufacturer will ever produce. Moreover, the company has committed to surpassing the 300-mph threshold and potentially surpassing the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport's record of 304.77 mph. 

Currently, no mass-produced vehicle can reach speeds of 250 mph (400 km/h). Furthermore, the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is unrivaled in the 0–250-0 mph (0–400-0 km/h) tests.

Christian von Koenigsegg remained tight-lipped about the precise location where the Jesko Absolut might release its formidable 1,578 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque. However, he did hint at the possibility of a blocked-off section of a public road.
