Aston Martin's updated Vantage sports vehicle will serve as the 2024 Formula One safety vehicle. This weekend at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the 20-car Formula One grid will be led for the first time by the Aston Martin Vantage. Fans from all over the world will have the chance to get their first look at the new Aston here.

A 4.0-liter V8 engine with dual turbochargers is the brains of the new safety vehicle. Since this is more than enough, the engine has not undergone any other modifications.

For starters, the most recent Aston Martin Vantage debuted with a 30% increase in power. With its 656 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, this eight-cylinder engine can reach 202 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. The vehicle received further aerodynamic modifications by Aston Martin, including a more prominent front splitter and enhanced underfloor aerodynamics.  A new wing installed in a bespoke position with a tuned Gurney improves the rear fascia.

Moreover, the lightbar that is fixed to the roof has undergone aerodynamic modification. On the inside, practical upgrades have replaced opulent details. For instance, in place of the leather-trimmed thrones, there are now Recaro Pole Position seats, and a new center console shows track placement, lap times, a rearview camera, and controls the FIA systems.

Even though it's minimalist and functional, Aston Martin has decorated the inside with lime essence accents.
Aston Martin Racing Green is the most ordered color scheme from the manufacturer, and that's exactly what this car has. The DBX 707 Medical Car and this new addition will showcase the brand's dedication to motorsport and Formula 1.

"It is a pleasure to drive the Aston Martin Vantage," Bernd Maylander, FIA Safety Car Driver, said. "We need a car that is fast and focused so we can respond quickly and safely when we receive the call for on-track deployment, and Vantage provides that. I have enjoyed driving Vantage during the past three seasons, and I'm happy to be now one of the first to drive the new Vantage and experience its full performance pedigree on the world's greatest circuits."
